Born in Kent County, 1947. Attended Charlotte Hall Military Academy; Rock Hall High School. Served in U.S. Naval Air Reserve, 1965-72 (active service, 1967-70). Chesapeake Community College, A.A., honors with distinction, 1979; Washington College, B.A., summa cum laude, 1981; University of Maryland School of Law, J.D., 1984. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1985. Attorney. Member, Maryland State Bar Association; Kent County Bar Association (president, 2004-); National District Attorneys' Association; Maryland State's Attorneys' Association. Member, Rock Hall Lions Club (treasurer); Rock Hall American Legion. Past member, Board of Directors, Kent Youth, Inc. (past treasurer). Graduate of Distinction Award, Kent County Public Schools, 2006. Lector, St. John's Catholic Church. Married; one child; one grandchild.
