Born in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 4, 1943. Attended Catonsville Senior High School; Indiana University, B.S., 1964; Indiana University School of Law, J.D., 1966. Admitted to Maryland Bar. Attorney. Board of Directors, State Justice Institute, 1986-; National District Attorneys Association (past vice-president). Advisory Board, National Crime Information Center. Board of Directors, Maryland State's Attorneys' Association (past president; 2nd vice-president, 2005-). Distinguished Faculty Award, National College of District Attorneys, 1991. Maryland's Top 100 Women, Daily Record, 1998. Married; two children.
